What's the Difference Between Gaseous Ozone & Aqueous Ozone?

When people hear the word ozone, they usually think of the outer layer of the Earth’s atmosphere.  The "ozone layer" is approximately six to thirty miles above the Earth's surface that reduces the amount of harmful UV radiation reaching the surface. [1] Ozone is by definition a gas. Each ozone molecule contains three atoms of oxygen and is chemically known as O3. [2] Aqueous ozone is when ozone is dissolved into water.

Aqueous Ozone is a biodegradable, oxidizing agent that leaves behind no residual residue making it an amazing cleaning solution. After being discovered for its oxidizing effects, it was first used in water sanitation before being strongly utilized in food sanitization. [3]

Aqueous ozone has been registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and exceeds standards set by the World Health Organization as an effective sanitizer. [4]  It converts water into a powerful oxidizing and cleaning agent that attacks mold, mildew, viruses, fungi and more at the source by breaking down their cell walls without the use of harsh, toxic chemicals.

Aqueous Ozone occurs naturally in nature. When lightning strikes in a thunderstorm, it splits oxygen molecules apart. These molecules can then reform into O3. This is that fresh smell during rainstorms. It's the same smell you might find in the air while doing laundry with the Smart Laundry System. It’s also created naturally in waterfalls and the ocean’s surf.

O3waterworks has harnessed the power of aqueous ozone to bring it straight into your home. Aqueous ozone is created on demand for safe and effective cleaning and deodorizing without toxic chemicals. Shop the Smart Laundry System(linked) and discover all the amazing benefits of O3 for yourself.
