MOTHER NATURE'S SANITIZER

The Sanitizing Spray Bottle needs only one ingredient, water!

Unlike most sanitizers, deodorizes, and cleaners, our spray bottle doesn’t use harmful chemicals, dyes, or perfumes. Many ingredients used in typical multi-purpose cleaners are known allergens and can cause irritation of skin, eyes and respiratory systems, or even asthma.

O3waterworks bubbles oxygen and water through our proprietary and patented diamond electrolytic cell technology. An electric charge briefly separates the O2 molecules into O-atoms that then reforms into loosely-held O3 molecules that readily oxidize and destroy harmful microorganisms.

O3 is an EPA approved sanitizer that replaces toxic chemical cleaners. It is FDA recognized as safe to use on food and can kill up to 99.9% of the most common bacterias including e-coli, salmonella, pseudomonas, aeruginosa and staphylococcus. Sanitize all hard-nonporous surfaces, including kitchen, bathroom, stone, glass, stainless steel, floors and more. It attacks mold, mildew and other pests that might be carried home on your groceries. For best efficacy results, let sit for 30 seconds before wiping away or letting air dry.

Harsh, toxic chemicals can lead to headaches, asthma, and are unsafe to ingest.

O3 is created from our brilliant technology that turns cold tap water and oxygen into a mighty, mega-cleaner that sanitizes and deodorizes. The Sanitizing Spray Bottle is lightweight and holds 10 oz. of water in its chamber. Built-in LEDs let you know when the bottle needs to be charged or serviced.

*SB100HD Spray Bottle Testing Results Using Modified AOAC 961.02 Protocol. All testing done at Lapuck Laboratories, Canton, Mass., following the directions for use in the SB100HD manual. All tests were done on non-porous stainless-steel surfaces.

Sanitizing Spray Bottle FAQs

What type of water can be used in the bottle?
Use normal cold tap water with your sanitizing spray bottle. You can use Reverse Osmosis water for improved performance but do not use distilled or deionized water for damage to the O3 cell may occur. You should never add anything to the water in the reservoir. Adding things like essential oils and other chemicals can interfere with the creation of ozone and damage the internal hardware of the bottle. Do not use heated water.

How does the O3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle work?
Our spray bottle makes O3, also known as Enhanced Oxygen or Aqueous Ozone from normal tap water. It creates O3 water through a patented process we call Active Diamond Electrolytic Process Technology, (ADEPT). With ADEPT, water from the bottle reservoir is sent into a chamber where it passes through a solid diamond plate and comes into contact with a direct electrical current. Here, an electrochemical reaction occurs that splits the water molecules to create free oxygen atoms, which then bond together to form ozone. The bottle then sprays the O3 water through the nozzle.

How Do I Know My Sanitizing Spray Bottle is Producing O3?
There are two LED lights on the head of the bottle. A blue checkmark will light up when you pull the trigger. This indicates your bottle is working and producing ozone.

How Does O3 Sanitize, Deodorize, and Clean?
O3 is a powerful natural oxidizing agent, meaning its oxygen atoms can cause chemical changes. When O3 encounters soils, pathogens, and microbes that cause odors or illness, it reacts with them and changes their characteristics. O3 reacts with odorants to disable their odor and attacks bacterial cell walls, killing the pathogens completely.

What Pathogens does O3 Kill?
O3 can reduce the level of some of the most common pathogens by at least 99.9% percent in just 30 seconds compared to other multi-purpose cleaners.

Common pathogens ozone can kill include:

   - E. coli
   - Salmonella
   - Staph A.
   - Enterobacter aerogenes
   - Klebsiella pneumonia
   - *See the Science page for a full list.

What Does O3 Smell Like?
Have you ever walked outside after a big lightning & thunder storm?

That’s O3! Mother Nature produces massive amounts of O3 during thunderstorms to oxidize the air. However, since we produce O3 in smaller amounts, the smell won’t be as strong, and it will be localized to where it is applied. Because the O3 reverts back to water and oxygen there will be no long-term smell left on your clothes or surfaces.

How Long Should I Charge the Bottle?
You only need to charge the bottle for about 2-2.5 hours. To maximize the battery life it is not recommended to leave the bottle on the charger for more than 4 hours.

How do I know when the bottle needs to be charged?
There are two LED lights on the head of the bottle. A red “X” will light up when the bottle needs to be charged.

How Long Will The Bottle Last On One Single-Charge?
The answer depends on how often you use the bottle. Generally, we find that the charge on the Sanitizing Spray bottle lasts up to three reservoir refills.

I do not see any lights on the bottle when it is charging, Is there a problem?
No, there are no lights on the spray bottle that indicates that it is being charged or that it is charged. There is an LED light on the wall charger that when plugged into the bottle indicates if the bottle is fully charged (green) or if it is charging (Red). When the bottle is unplugged and becoming low on battery it will flash 1 red X light on the spray head or flash 3 red X lights when it requires charging.

How Long is the O3 active once sprayed?
The O3 sprayed from the bottle is active for 5 minutes. O3 is a very biodegradable molecule. Once it is done cleaning contaminants and killing pathogens, it reverts back to oxygen (O2) and water. Every time you pull the trigger, ozone is created on-demand, and the five-minute clock starts.

Why is theO3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle Better Than Other Sanitizers, Deodorizers, and Multi-Purpose Cleaners?
The Sanitizing Spray Bottle uses only one ingredient – normal tap water, to make aqueous ozone that will do more than one thing on more than one surface. Even some cleaning products that are marketed as ‘green’ or ‘natural’ may have harmful ingredients in their fragrances and dyes. That’s because current regulations do not require manufacturers to list all ingredients on the labels.

On What Surfaces are theO3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle Effective?
You can the O3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle to sanitize, deodorize and clean hard non-porous surface such as:

  - Tables and countertops
  - Door handles and stair rails
  - Foodservice prep areas and equipment
  - Bathroom surfaces and appliances
  - Gym equipment

The O3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle is also perfect to use on:

  - Pet beds, throws and pillows
  - Appliances and other stainless steel surfaces
  - Mirrors and windows

Has the O3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle Been Tested By An Independent Third Party?
Yes, please see independent third party testing here: Toxcel Toxicology and Regulatory Affairs Report

Can I use Hard water in the Spray Bottle?
The sanitizing spray bottle may use tap water even if it is considered hard or mineralized. Depending on the unique chemistry of your water, heavily mineralized water may decrease the overall O3 concentration and therefore reduce its overall sanitizing ability. If you feel your water is very hard or heavily mineralized beyond average, then it is recommended to have your water analyzed by a professional and install an appropriate whole home water treatment system which will promote better function and longevity to all the water processing appliances and fixtures in your home. We cannot say with certainty how the spray bottle will perform for you given the unknown aspect of your specific water chemistry. If you question your tap water then you can use Reverse Osmosis (RO) water that you can purchase typically in any grocery store for about $1 a gallon. RO water will give you stronger concentration o3 and will allow the device to last the longest.

How long will the bottle last?
The sanitizing spray bottle typically will last at least 600 reservoir fills or up to 5 years. The built in rechargeable Li-Ion battery will last for the life of the appliance and should not need to be replaced. There are 2 LED lights on top of the spray head that provide feedback on the bottles condition. The Blue check light is when the bottle is producing aqueous ozone normally. There is a Red X that informs the user of various conditions such as low battery, charge needed or that he bottle needs servicing. o3waterworks can accept the bottle back for proper recycling once it has reached its end of life.

How much O3 does the bottle produce?
The O3waterworks sanitizing spray bottle uses a diamond electrolytic cell that produces the aqueous ozone on demand as it is being sprayed. The dissolved O3 concentration, using normal cold tap water, is approximately 1.5ppm or 1.5mg/l. The small amount of O3 gas is hardly detectable and is compliant with strict safety standards. The average indoor air level of O3 from use of the Sanitizing Spray Bottle ranged from 0.00123 to 0.00567 ppm, depending on the room of use for the device. These levels are only 1.5 to 7 percent of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) of 0.08 ppm. (See Toxcel Risk Assessment report for 3rd party verification.)

Does the O3waterworks Sanitizing Spray Bottle produce safe amounts of O3?
Yes, it produces O3 amounts that meet OSHA’s safety standards.

Does O3waterworks Stabilize O3?
No, “stabilizing” controls for the difference in water hardness or mineral content in the water used to produce aqueous ozone. Recent technology advances have shown that it is rare to find a water source that is so hard or full of minerals that the aqueous ozone produced won’t, sanitize, deodorize, or clean. If you live in a place that has very hard water, we recommend installing a water softener in your business or home is a better and less expensive option than stabilizing aqueous ozone.

Who Uses O3 to Sanitize?
O3 is approved by the FDA as a sanitizing agent both at municipal water treatment plants as well as in the bottled water industry. The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) has also approved its use as an antimicrobial agent. FOOD TREATMENT, STORAGE, AND PROCESSING FACILITIES Aqueous Ozone has been approved by the FDA and the USDA on the treatment of food. The FDA formally approved the use of ozone as an Antimicrobial Agent for the Treatment, Storage, and Processing of Foods in Gas and Aqueous Phases. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA/FSIS) approved the use of ozone for contact with meats and poultry, including raw products to fresh cooked, and prior to packaging. In addition to direct contact of foods, ozone also can be applied to food processing equipment and non-food contact surfaces as part of a food company’s sanitation efforts. PUBLIC AND PERSONAL SWIMMING POOLS Across the U.S., ozone generators are used instead of chlorine to sanitize pools because it is a powerful oxidizer and works 3,000 times faster than chlorine and uses no harmful chemicals.

Will O3 Create More Antibiotic-Resistant Germs?
Because the killing process of oxidation with aqueous ozone is different from medicinal pathways it DOES NOT contribute to antibiotic resistance.

How should I clean inside the bottle’s reservoir?
To clean the inside of the bottle’s reservoir first make sure the bottle’s battery is charged then follow the steps below to clean and sanitize inside the reservoir. Do not use any chemicals inside the reservoir or damage may occur.

1 - Fill reservoir with normal cold tap water.
2 - Add one teaspoon table salt into the reservoir and shake until dissolved. (Any kind of table salt is ok)
3 - Spray the entire contents of the bottle into a cup. (a 4C measuring cup works great)
4 - Immediately add the salty sprayed water back into the bottle’s reservoir and close the fill cap. Shake and allow to rest for a few hours or even over-night.
5 - Drain the salty water out from the reservoir fill port and rinse with fresh tap water.
6 - Refill with normal cold tap water and use normally.

How should I clean the outside of the bottle?
To clean the outside of the bottle, spray normal cold tap water onto a towel making the towel damp, but not saturated. Immediately use the towel and wipe down the entire surface. Make sure the rubber cap is in place that covers the charging port on the side of the spray head prior to cleaning.
